US Patent Issued

US Patent 7,005,445 B2 entitled “Protein Kinase and Phosphatase Inhibitors and methods for Designing Them” issued on February 28, 2006. This is an important patent for Kinex Pharmaceuticals that describes proprietary methods of generating unique drugs that bind in the peptide binding site of important therapeutic targets. The patent also describes composition of matter related to compounds that can be used to treat cancer, psoriasis, arthrosclerosis, immune system activity, type II diabetes and obesity.

The above named patent has been exclusively licensed to Kinex Pharmaceuticals by the Research Foundation of the State University at New York. Under the terms of the license, Kinex can fully exploit all aspects of the technology.
