Kinex Relocates
Kinex Pharmaceuticals is a new tennant in the $300 million New York State Center of Excellence (COE) in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences. This 300,000 square foot facility was built with state, federal and private funding and houses academic labs from the University at Buffalo and Roswell Park Cancer Institute that are focused on translational research, as well as Biotech Companies like Kinex. The COE provides state of the art office, laboratory and conference space. Recent visitors to the COE have included Senator Hilliary Rodham Clinton and a team of senior management and licensing executives from Pfizer. Locating at the COE has been a very strategic move for Kinex because of the proximity to prominent academic and business entities. This complex is part of the 100 acre Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus which is made up of institutes such as The Hauptman Woodward Medical Research Institue, the University at Buffalo, Buffalo General Hospital and Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
