Kinex Elects New Member to Board of Directors
Kinex Pharmaceuticals has announced today that Mr. Donald A. Hess has been elected to join its Board of Directors.
Hess, an MIT- educated, Buffalo, NY-based entrepreneur, co-founded Amherst Systems. Amherst Systems that developed electronic test systems and measurement equipment grew to over 300 employees from its inception in 1975 until its sale to Comptek Research in 1999. It is now part of Northrop Grumman and located on Wehrle Drive in Amherst, New York.
Johnson YN Lau, Executive Chairman of Kinex stated, "Don brings significant management experience and expertise to our board. We believe his experience will contribute to the future growth of Kinex as we move forward on both business and scientific fronts”.
Mr. Hess serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors of the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute and is active in private equity investing through Amherst Tech Ventures LLC, the Western New York Venture Association and the Toronto Angel Group.
